Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains what information Calypso Fuel (“we,” “us”) collects through our website and mobile app (together, the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

Account information. When you sign up or sign in, our authentication provider, Clerk, collects your email address and password (or your Google/Apple account details if you use single sign-on). We receive your email address and a unique account identifier from Clerk; we do not see or store your password.
Order information.When you request a fuel delivery, we collect your name, email, phone number, delivery address, fuel type, quantity, and delivery window. If you’re signed in, your order is linked to your account so it appears in your order history; guest orders are not linked to any account.
Contact form information. If you send us a message through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content.

We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts on the website or in the app, and we do not collect location data, device identifiers, or browsing behavior beyond what’s described above.

How we use your information

To fulfill and coordinate fuel deliveries, including contacting you about your order
To maintain your account and show you your order history
To respond to messages sent through our contact form
To maintain the security and reliability of the Service

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run Calypso Fuel:

Clerk — authentication and account management
Neon — database hosting for order and message records
Vercel — website and application hosting

We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Calypso Fuel or others.

Data storage and security

Order and contact form data is stored in our Postgres database (hosted by Neon). Account credentials are managed entirely by Clerk and are never stored on our servers. In the mobile app, your session is stored securely on your device using the platform keychain (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore) rather than as plain text.

Your choices

You can place orders as a guest without creating an account.
You can update your account details or sign out at any time from the Account section of the app or website.
Delete your account yourself: in the mobile app, open the Account tab and tap Delete my account. This removes your account, saved details, and order history immediately, and cannot be undone.
You can also request deletion of your account and associated order history by contacting us at contact@calypsofuel.com with the subject line “Delete my account” and the email address on your account. We’ll confirm by email once it’s done, typically within a few business days.

Deleting your account removes your Clerk sign-in credentials and your order history from our database. Orders you placed as a guest (without signing in) aren’t linked to an account and can’t be deleted this way; contact us with the order confirmation details if you’d like one removed. We may retain minimal records where required by law (for example, financial or tax recordkeeping obligations).

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the effective date above.
